Louisiana Highway 3261 (LA 3261) is a state highway in Louisiana that serves Jefferson Parish. LA 3261 spans 0.3 miles (0.48 km) from south to north and is known as Shrewsbury Road.
From the south, LA 3261 begins at Lausat Street north of LA 3139 (the Earhart Expressway) in Metairie. It heads north to a terminus at US 61 (Airline Drive)/LA 611-9 (Severn Avenue). LA 3261 (which runs along Shrewsbury Road north of the Earhart Expressway) was formerly part of LA 611-3. LA 611-3 was effectively cut into two segments by the expressway's construction.
The route of LA 3261 once carried a small piece of the Jefferson Highway (1916-1928), Louisiana Highway 1 (1921-1928), and US 61 (1926-1928) until Jefferson Highway was extended along the Orleans-Kenner interurban streetcar right-of-way to the Protection Levee at South Claiborne Avenue.
LA 3261 is an undivided, two lane highway for its entire length.
The entire route is in Metairie, Jefferson Parish.
